The Right Time Is NOW for Tracey Davis

Gold Coast singer, bass player and songwriter Tracey Davis is country through and through, a self taught musician with a unique music style that is Tracey Davis.

Born in Longreach and reared on a cattle and sheep station just outside Blackall, in Central Queensland Australia, riding, training and mustering horses was a regular part of her life and as a youngster she played bass and sang in her family’s band, New Image, for country balls and dances.

After years of playing at festivals from Charters Towers to Rockhampton, Tracey settled on the Gold Coast, where she was a founding member with her husband Rob Davis and Dave Luxmoore of the highly popular Bushfire Bluegrass Band. During the nine years that she played in major events, festivals and corporate gigs with the band ,picking up more awards in the process,Tracey penned and recorded her first album, It’s Hot with Bushfire releasing two singles and videos It’s Hot and Horses & Harleys.

Tracey Davis has performed at the Urban Country Music Festival, The Songwriters Café Caboolture, The People’s Choice Awards Tamworth and with the Bushfire Bluegrass Band was runner-up in the Toohey’s New Country Music Band Search at Tamworth Country Music Festival 2009. She has also performed at the Suncorp Stadium and Twin Towns Auditorium with Dennis Knight and her sister Carmel Barnfield.
