Tracey Davis

Tracey Davis & Chris HartleyHello and Welcome to my website NOW. I hope life is making you smile and there is lots of music in it. I'd like to take this opportunity to share with you my musical journey so far for 2011/2012.

I started 2011 celebrating and saying goodbye to 9 years in The Bushfire Bluegrass Band and saying Hello to playing Bass in Shady and the Lady Duo and Perfect Strangers Rock Band with Michael Quensier.

During this time, I was writing down lots of words and lines on paper and I was thinking of recording a Solo Album. To do that I had to find a producer who would co-write and help me create a new direction with my music. So it was a very exciting day when I arrived in Chris Hartley's 'Rock The House Studio Toowoomba' to co-write and record my first solo Album.

I have known Chris for many years and it was a pleasure in 2008 for my Hubby Rob Davis and I to record here in our Studio at home,Chris playing Hammond and Piano on my 'It's Hot' Album with The Bushfire Band which is why I'm a big fan of Chris's playing and we shared the same love of the Hammond and Piano and we both liked to make music that was different, which I was looking for NOW. I was a very happy girl when Chris said 'yes' to co-producing my Album NOW. What an amazing year it has been with Chris and I madly writing, arranging, recording and producing my songs.

It was also a pleasure to co-write with Annette Hartley, Manfred Vijars, Dusty Fraser, Dave Luxmoore and Peter Lawson. Then came the exciting part to have the players play on my Album.

Myself on Bass, Chris Hartley on Hammond,Yamaha Piano, keyboards including a B3 Hammond organ/wurlitzer piano/clavinet D6/minimoog model D and programming. I even got Chris to play Bass on one song. Rob Davis on Banjo,Bob Alloway Pedal Steel Guitar and guitar players Jamie Clark,Michael Flanders,Phil Eizenberg,Brenden Schick and Dale Robbins. A big thank you to them all for their beautiful music. It is so exciting to watch and hear my words grow into a song.

When it came to which song I would pick for my first Single off my Album NOW, it had to be a song written by Chris Hartley called 'Lover Come Back To Me' which he wrote a few years ago.'Lover Come Back To Me' is a love song with a twist.I was so thrilled that Chris let me record this song as I fell in love with it as soon as he played it to me. 'Lover Come Back To Me' is out on CRS Publicity 155 for Radio and it's also on iTunes and CD Baby.

I have just released the Video for 'Lover Come Back To Me' Filmed and Produced by Darren Scott. You can request 'Lover Come Back To Me' on CMC Country Music Channel and also on You tube. I had a fun time filming the video with Darren scott and Chris Hartley on Hammond,my twins Robbie Davis on Saxophone,Dylan Davis on Drums, Bob Alloway on Pedal Steel Guitar and Darren Scott on Slide Guitar. Also actors Nikkie Anderton and Dylan Davis.

I would like to thank all the Radio Stations that have given 'Lover Come Back To Me ' many spins, your support has been awesome. 'Lover Come Back To Me' was Top 24 in the Mildura Top 100 Charts..Now that was a very exciting time for me... Thanks Mark Eckel and Crew at Hot FM. It was also the most played spins for May/June out of the girls on Bob Browne's 89.3 2GLF Liverpool, NSW Radio Show.

Now you can see I have been a little bit busy with photo shoots, album cover, promo in the 'Country Music Capital News and 'Country Update Magazines and lots of Radio Interviews.chris and tracey
